MSA began partnering with the Urbana (formerly Harvest) team on two boutique San Francisco cannabis dispensaries in 2014. For the first location, MSA was Architect of Record and helped implement a design package provided by another firm with less retail experience. Upon review of the package, we were able to consult with the client and offer alternatives that would help enhance the customer experience and streamline the sales associates' workflow. Awarded with Urbana’s second location, MSA completed concept design through the final punch list. These stores offer an elevated retail experience along with private lounges. Because of the specific operational requirements of this retail segment, MSA did extensive research into this industry, focusing on their unique needs, and it’s customer profiles; therefore positioned MSA as an experienced resource in this growing sector.
