MSA partnered with Starbucks on over 124 projects, comprised of 23 New Store Site Surveys, 10 New Store Construction Documents, 62 Existing Store Site Surveys, and 29 Renovation Construction Documents. The site surveys were particularly comprehensive and added value to project success by reducing change orders and identifying the unique conditions where rapid and creative solutions are critical. We provided Starbucks with a core dedicated team consisting of a Project Manager, Project Architect, Job Captain, and Drafter. Strong relationships with the MEP and Structural Engineers with the familiarity of Starbucks' standards, guidelines, and templates supported this account with reliable and consistent Consultant services. MSA was also a valued team member to Starbucks in the detailing and development of high-profile Reserve store locations in San Francisco at Mission & Main downtown and on Chestnut Street in the Marina district. Our ability to attend an in-person meeting at Starbucks' office was particularly useful on these complex and high-profile projects, along with the Project Kick-Off and the Construction Page-Turner meetings on standard projects. MSA has an excellent track record with obtaining permits and approvals for Starbucks by keeping permit expediting within the core project team. Consistently, we found that being able to directly converse with a Plans Reviewer to describe and explain the design intent peer-to-peer, produced the best result in the shortest amount of time.
